Ingolstadt is a beautiful city with important churches and cultural sites. Since 1972 it has also been home to the Bavarian Army Museum, which moved from Munich to the New Palace in Ingolstadt. This huge building complex now also houses the First World War Museum.

The General Assembly from 22 to 24 September in Tübingen will again offer a rich programme under the guiding theme of "Freedom". Speakers include Boris Palmer and Paul Kirchhof. Other highlights: The History Section will speak about the threat to academic freedom, the Law and Political Science Section will talk about migration and citizenship, the Political Science Section about paternalism and the like. Andreas Holzem will lecture on the Thirty Years' War in the Corpus Catholicorum.

The Museum of the Cathedral of Hildesheim offers a series of events during the Day of World Heritage.

Since 1 May, registration is open for participation in the 18th International Congress of Christian Archaeology 2-6 September 2024 in Belgrade. The earlier the registration, the cheaper it is.
On 2 May, the Bishop Sproll Memorial will be inaugurated in the Episcopal Ordinariate of Rottenburg. Among others, Prof. Dr Dominik Burkard (Würzburg) and Dr Herbert Aderbauer will speak about the Rottenburg Bishop Joannes Baptista Sproll (1870-1949)
On 24 May at 6.30 p.m., a ceremony will be held at the Hochschule St. Georgen in Frankfurt to celebrate the 85th birthday of Father Klaus Schatz. In addition to the history of the Jesuits, Father Schatz has especially researched the First Vatican Council. Schatz's collected essays on Vatican I were recently published as the first volume of the new series "Studies on the History of Councils" by the Aschendorff publishing house (commissioned by the Gesellschaft für Konziliengeschichtsforschung).
Since the beginning of the year, the Atheneum Heiligenkreuz near Vienna has the emeritus Bamberg fundamental theologian Wolfgang Klausnitzer as its new rector. After years of expansion, he now sees the task of the internationally positioned university in consolidation and quality assurance. On 30 April, the university celebrates a "Day of Thanks" for all sponsors and interested parties.
