Founded in 1888, the Roman Institute of the Görres Society (RIGG) is the well-known academic centre and foreign institute of the Bonn-based Görres Society.
Donations And Foundation

On 13 June, the President of the University of Augsburg, Professor Dr Sabine Doering-Manteuffel, appointed Dr Rainald Becker (Munich) as University Professor in the Chair of European Regional History and Bavarian and Swabian Regional History. He succeeds Prof. Dr Marita Krauss.
