Exceptionally on a Friday, 28 October, the public Görres Lecture will take place. Prof. Dr. Agostino Paravicini Bagliani, Professor of Medieval Studies in Lausanne, will speak on the topic "La mobilità dei papi e della corte papale nel Basso Medioevo. Aspetti rituali, istituzionali e culturali". The lecture concludes the conference "Papstreisen im Mittelalter" (Papal Travel in the Middle Ages) prepared by Christopher Kast (Munich) and Claudia Märtl (Munich).

The conference, organised by Christopher Kast (Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities) and Claudia Märtl (LMU Munich / Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities), will take place at the Roman Institute of the Görres Society.
Paul Maria Baumgarten, who lived for a long time at the priests' college of Campo Santo Teutonico, wrote the biography of the important Christian archaeologist Giovanni Battista de Rossi (1822-1894) in 1892 for his 70th birthday. But he did not publish many episodes from de Rossi's life for certain reasons. This is what the lecture is about: "Anékdota aus Baumgartens Biographie des Archäologen Giovanni Battista de Rossi".

Weiß (Bavarian Regional History, LMU Munich) on 26 March as part of the "Commemoration without Borders" conference at Campo Santo Teutonico is now available on YouTube.
