Federica Tagliatesta (*1991 in Rome) received her PhD in Christian Archaeology from the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology in 2022 with a thesis on the mosaic decorations of Roman catacombs.

Currently, she is a teaching assistant for the Chair of Medieval Art History at the University of Padua and a scholarship holder at the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Christliche Archäologie with a research project on the documentation of the paintings in the crypt of St Cecilia in the pseudo-catacombs of St Callisto carried out in the early 20th century by the Dutchmen Jan Diepen and Joseph Schrijnen. Starting in June, a collaboration will begin with the Bode Museum in Berlin for the temporary exhibition Tod und Totenkult vom 4.-13. Jahrhundert.
