Preview on the 18th Intern. Congress of Christian Archaeology in Belgrade, 2-6(8) September
The congress in Belgrade ‘Early Christianity between Liturgical Practice and Everyday Life’ is taking final shape. The full programme has been published. 200 lectures have been announced. The speakers come from all over Europe, many from East-Central Europe (Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, etc.). The congress language is largely English. Almost all PIAC lecturers and students will be attending - as at all congresses. The Nuncio will deliver a greeting from the Pope.
Registration is still possible, also directly on site.
The congress will take place in plenary sessions as well as in parallel sessions. The plenary sessions will be held in the SASA Grand Hall (SASA = Serbian Academy of Science and Arts), the parallel sessions in rooms at the university (both locations are just a few minutes' walk apart in the pedestrian zone).
The next venue will be decided at the congress. Candidatures can be registered.
Excursions on 7/8 September will lead to Felix Romuliana, Timacum Minus, Naissus, Mediana and Iustiniana Prima.
