Consultant for Archaeology: Dr. Sascha Priester

One focus of this work is the architecture and furnishings of the Insula dell' Aracoeli on the Capitoline slope, which is still preserved with several storeys, as well as the transformation of ancient living space in the archaeological evidence under the church of Santi Giovanni e Paolo on the Celio. Since receiving his doctorate in 2001, Sascha Priester has been teaching courses (LMU Munich; University of Regensburg), including on issues of urban Roman archaeology as well as on media mediation and the relevance of archaeology and historical research in the public sphere.

At the Munich Arts and Crafts Schools, he has been coordinating an Erasmus project since 2018 that brings together academics and trainees in Rome. Sascha Priester is a corporate spokesperson for the telecommunications company TDT. His current archaeological research project focuses on aspects of the transformation of the suburban space of the metropolis of Rome.
