The Institute

Founded in 1888, the Roman Institute of the Görres Society (RIGG) is the well-known academic centre and foreign institute of the Bonn-based Görres Society.
Donations And Foundation

There are close contacts between the RIGG and the Pontifical Institute for Christian Archaeology, if only because Stefan Heid is both director of the RIGG and rector of the PIAC. Some professors and students of the PIAC are members of the RIGG and publish in the RQ. There are joint study days (for example on Onofrio Panvinio) and publications.
