In honour of Cardinal Kurt Koch, who will reach the age of 75 on 15 March 2025, a scientific symposium on the theme of "Unity and Uniqueness" will be held at the Angelicum and the Gregorian University from 6 to 8 March 2024, to which all friends of the Cardinal and those interested are cordially invited. It will be a scientific conference in which Cardinal Koch will be an active participant and co-discussant.

Speakers will be outstanding theologians and personal companions of the Cardinal from various countries: Karlheinz Menke (Bonn), Abbess Christiana Reemts (Mariendonk), Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst (Rome), Jan-Heiner Tück (Vienna), Wolfgang Klausnitzer (Heiligenkreuz), Barbara Hallensleben (Fribourg), Jari Jolkkonen (Kuopio), Marianne Schlosser (Vienna), Paul McPartlan (Washington), Stefanos Athanasiou (Zurich) and Stefan Kopp (Munich).

The organisers are the Roman Institute of the Görres Society (Fr Augustinus Sander OSB and Stefan Heid) and the Institute for Ecumenical Studies of the Angelicum (Fr Hyacinthe Destivelle OP).

The conference is also sponsored by the Swiss Bishops' Conference, the Archdiocese of Berlin and the Archconfraternity of the Sorrowful Mother. God.

Cardinal Koch is not only a member of the Roman Institute of the Görres Society, but also of the Archconfraternity of the Sorrowful Mother of God and - in continuation of the tradition of Joseph Ratzinger - celebrates Holy Mass every Thursday at 7 a.m. at Campo Santo Teutonico.
