The Institute

Founded in 1888, the Roman Institute of the Görres Society (RIGG) is the well-known academic centre and foreign institute of the Bonn-based Görres Society.
Donations And Foundation

The 38 member institutions of the association ‘Unione internazionale degli Istituti di Archeologia, Storia e Storia dell'Arte in Roma’ (UNIR) are marking their 80th anniversary with a conference in Rome.

Under the theme “Un patrimonio da raccontare e da condividere”, the institutes will present their history, their collections and their buildings. The congress will take place at the Academia Belgica, the École française and the Palazzo Altemps.

The Roman Institute of the Görres Society has been a member of UNIR since its beginning in 1946.
