Stefan Heid was confirmed as rector of the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology for another three years by the Vatican's dicastery of culture and studies on 7 June. On 22 June he was elected to the class of corresponding members of the Pontificia Accademia Romana di Archeologia.
