Dr. Alessandro Pulimanti (* 1994 in Rome) studied Romance Philology and German-language Literature from 2013 to 2019 at the Sapienza University of Rome.

From 2019 to 2024, he was a doctoral student at the Sapienza and at the Charles University in Prague. Through his dissertation, he explores the significance that the legendary ‘Percival’, the figure of Saint Alexius and Teresa of Ávila’s ‘Interior Castle’ hold within Peter Handke’s works. His dissertation is titled “Elements of the Romance Tradition in Peter Handke’s Works: Dream, Eros, and Mysticism”. Pulimanti defended his doctoral thesis in January 2024, and he officially obtained a PhD in “Germanic and Slavic Studies”.
