The Institute

Founded in 1888, the Roman Institute of the Görres Society (RIGG) is the well-known academic centre and foreign institute of the Bonn-based Görres Society.
Donations And Foundation

Heinrich Heidenreich, Martin Grobauer, Florian Schwarz, S. Heid

In June, the opportunity arose for three custodians of the Joseph Ratzinger / Benedict XVI Roman Study Library at the Campo Santo Teutonico to meet: Florian Schwarz (2015-2017), Heinrich Heidenreich (2019-2021) and Martin Grobauer (2021-2023), who are each working on their doctorates with a scholarship from the Fondazione Vaticana. Dr Schwarz recently represented the RIGG at the matinée in honour of Benedict XVI in Munich. The study library has been expanded over these years into an excellent collection with 2,034 titles in about 40 languages.
