Founded in 1888, the Roman Institute of the Görres Society (RIGG) is the well-known academic centre and foreign institute of the Bonn-based Görres Society.
Donations And Foundation

From 21 September to 26 January, the Paderborn Diocesan Museum is hosting a special exhibition entitled ‘Corvey and the Legacy of Antiquity: Emperors, Monasteries and Cultural Transfer in the Middle Ages’. 120 artefacts on loan can be admired. Dr Christiane Ruhmann has been the curator of the Diocesan Museum's special exhibitions for many years.

On 20 September, Prof. Dr Harald Wolter-von dem Knesebeck (Bonn), head of the art history section of the Görres Society, will give the opening lecture. The former Abbey Corvey, located near Paderborn, was founded 1200 years ago and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site for 10 years.
