Jobst Knigge: Rome under German occupation
Jobst Knigge, who will soon be giving a Görres lecture, has published the book "Rome unterm Hakenkreuz. Life under German occupation 1943/44" on the online platform Zenodo. In it, the Campo Santo Teutonico is also mentioned in several places - in connection with Mons. Hugh O'Flaherty.
The 246-page "book", with numerous illustrations, provides a very detailed and concrete insight into the situation of the Roman population under Nazi rule. Special attention is of course paid to the Vatican and the persecution of the Jews.
